Current exhibit at the Octagon Gallery – Patterson Library – Westfield N.Y.

I spent a little time at the current exhibit at the Octagon gallery at the Patterson Library in Westfield N.Y.  The current show exhibits a nice selection or old photographs showing some of the parades and events held in Westfield from years gone by. I always enjoy see how much things have changed and I also enjoy seeing how little things have changed. I know it kind of a conflict to enjoy both the changes and how little things have changed but that’s part of what I love about living in a small town. You can count of things to be the same but there is still some moving forward as there always will be.

You should schedule a trip to the gallery to view this interesting show of celebration from Westfield N.Y’s. past.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

McClurg Museum – Westfield N.Y. – Open House

Chautauqua County Historic Society -McClurg Museum

Chautauqua County Historic Society -McClurg Museum

The Chautauqua County Historical Society held their open house on Sunday Dec 11, 2011 at the their Headquarters in Westfield N.Y. at the McClurg Museum from 2p.m. – 4p.m.

It’s been years since I’ve walked through the doors of the McClurg Museum and to be honest I will still have to make another visit very soon. Why you ask? Because there where so many people taking part in the museums open house it was hard to just walk around, much less take in all the displays and artifacts the museum has to offer. There where also snack, cookies, and drinks being offered to all the guest.

You should make a trip to the museum with the family the next time your looking for something to do for a couple of house.

The Museums hours are:

The museum is open year round-Tue – Sat 10a.m. – 4p.m.

Admission is $5 per adult and children are free
